Monks started leaving after seeing Lord Buddha
The Buddhist devotees who came to the holy land of Lord Gautam Buddha have started wearing chevers. At the same time, they also started going out for alms. After having darshan of Lord Buddha in the sanctum sanctorum of the Mahobodhi temple, he is being made to wear a chivar in a formal manner. After this they are being sent for begging. People are also giving them alms on the way.
After having darshan of Lord Buddha, wearing robes to walk on the path of Buddha, Buddhist monks have started leaving empty-footed for alms. Buddhist monks will go to Gaya district and around Rajgir to offer prayers at Buddhist places. This process has started. Buddhist monks from different countries wearing robes are going out for alms. After visiting the Mahabodhi temple, all the Buddhist monks go to the temples of their respective countries and then move ahead after reciting prayers from there. The special thing is that Buddhist temples of different countries are at different places and independently but one temple of Burma country is located in the Bodhgaya monastery complex.
The Buddhist monks of Burma first reach the Burma temple located in the Bodhgaya monastery with the donation box associated with the almsgiving. Here they worship by sitting near the temple established by their forefathers. It was built by the Buddhist followers who visited India for the first time from the country of Burma. This temple was built in the 18th century. Buddhist monks and other devotees definitely reach the Burmese temple built in their country. At present one has to go through the Bodh Gaya Math complex to see this temple. It is completely situated in the premises of the monastery. A large number of Buddhist monks will continue to visit this temple till the entire tourist season i.e. February. Due to the Buddhist monks inside the monastery, there is a lot of activity. At the same time, sitting outside the temple, Buddhist monks worship and meditate.
