Regarding the Mokama by-election of Patna, the District Magistrate and the Senior Police Officer held the first review meeting on Tuesday evening in Mokama. Voting for the by-polls in Mokama will be held on November 3, while the counting of votes will be held in Patna on November 6. The administration has made all its preparations to ensure that the elections are conducted peacefully. About 2.5 lakh voters will vote on November 3 in 279 booths of 175 buildings.
Central force is being deputed on all the buildings. Apart from this, patrolling parties have been arranged at every two buildings. Sectors have been made on each of the five buildings. Zones have been arranged on all sectors. There are 9 police stations under Mokama assembly constituency, in which it has been said to keep the paramilitary force safe in all the police stations for the elections.
Patna SSP took stock of security.
Weapons verification is being done rapidly by the administration. So far 4 illegal scriptures have been caught by the police. The police have taken preventive action against two and a half thousand people. Apart from this, a proposal was sent on behalf of the administration on 28 people. In this, orders have been passed on 10 people.
Patna District Magistrate Dr Chandrashekhar said that the first review meeting was organized on Tuesday evening with the Sector Officer, Police Officer and Super Sector Magistrate as well as officers of the Central Paramilitary Force. Along with this, the law and order situation in Mokama was also reviewed.
