RIYADH — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack carried out against the United Nations Interim Force in southern Lebanon (UNIFIL).
The attack resulted in the killing of an Irish soldier and the injury of others, calling for an immediate and transparent investigation into the circumstances of the attack.
The Foreign Ministry also expressed the Kingdom’s absolute rejection of all forms of violence, affirming its support for the “UNIFIL” mission, as well as extending its sincere condolences and sympathy to the government and people of Ireland, wishing the wounded a speedy recovery.
In Kuwait, the State of Kuwait condemned and denounced the attack targeting the UN-peacekeeping forces in Southern Lebanon, killing an Irish soldier and injuring others.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait called for launching an investigation into the incident to hold it perpetually accountable, citing the principled and firm position of the State of Kuwait, against violence and terrorism.
It extended sincere condolences and sympathy to the Government and people of Ireland and the family of the deceased, wishing the injured a speedy recovery. SPA
