Miscreants looted jewelery worth lakhs in Samastipur
On Thursday late evening, miscreants looted silver and gold jewelery worth lakhs of rupees by raiding a gold and silver shop located in Shivnathpur Chowk of Vibhutipur police station area of Samastipur district. The miscreants came in the guise of a customer. The number of miscreants is stated to be 6. The pistols that were given.
In relation to the incident, shopkeeper Baiju Lal told that the first two miscreants entered the shop on the pretext of buying a gold bracelet. While looking at the bracelet, the miscreants pointed a pistol at the shopkeeper. During this, the miscreants asked to open the locker on the strength of the weapon.
Then four more criminals came from behind and locked the shop worker Pankaj Kumar and two other villagers inside the gate on the strength of arms. Simultaneously, the miscreants robbed 15 kg of silver and 300 grams of gold kept in the drawer by opening the locker from the shopkeeper. While leaving, the miscreants knocked down the shutter of the shop from outside, and fled from the spot.
On the other hand, SP Hriday Kant said that on the information of the incident, Vibhutipur police has been sent to the spot. The shop was new due to which there was no CCTV camera in the shop. Nearby CCTV cameras are being searched, the miscreants had fled towards Dalsinghsarai, raids are also being done in that direction.
