    Meeting: Basic literacy and numeracy campaign launched

    The meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner of Development regarding basic literacy and numeracy and parent teacher seminar in the Collectorate Auditorium of the district. In the meeting, along with the DEO of the district, officials of all departments and representatives of Piramal Foundation were present. In order to improve the field of education in the district, this meeting was organized to increase the understanding of basic literacy and numeracy among the children up to class 3 in the district. Under the ongoing program a few days back, a parent teacher seminar is to be organized in every school in the district on October 20. Discussions were held in the meeting for planning and pre-preparation for this seminar. Along with this, DEO and District Lead Sanjeev Kumar discussed about how the program was run from the state level till now. When the newly admitted children of class I in the district come to school, how did they feel in school and to teach them through entertainment and to create a safe environment for the children, a program named Chahak was started. In this, along with training at the state level, district level training and training of cluster level teachers and implementation of CHAK were discussed in detail. Along with this, what is the new education policy, basic literacy and numeracy, how can we build quality education by 2026 and how can we take the district forward. It was discussed about. On the coming 20th, instructions will be given to conduct parent-teacher seminar in all schools and BDOs of all blocks and will monitor this seminar and ensure quality. Simultaneously, Piramal Foundation in the district will work as an associate to make this program a success. In this meeting, DEO Raj Kumar, DPO Rashid Nawaz, Quality Administrator Shekhar Anand, Piramal Foundation District Lead Sanjeev Kumar, Program Lead Azad Sohail and Gandhi Fellows Amol Rathod, Anjani Rajesh, Rahat Hussain, Payal, Khashti Latwal and all the departments of the district attended the meeting.
