Fire in oil depot.
A fire broke out in the oil depot at Sipara in Patna’s bypass area on Monday night. The fire which started due to short circuit took a formidable form on sight. Several blasts were caused by the fire in the depot. Its echo was heard up to 2 KM around. Seeing the flames reaching a height of about 200 feet, the people around came in panic. The whole area was filled with smoke and thunder.
The local people immediately informed the fire brigade. Fire brigade vehicles arrived 2:30 hours after the fire. 10 vehicles of fire brigade reached the spot. and began to control the fire. The fire brigade team had to make a lot of effort to douse the fire.
The fire spread all over.
People told that we were in our house. At around 9 pm, suddenly flames started coming out of the oil depot. By the time we could understand something, the blast started. After this, we came out of our respective homes from the point of view of safety. The whole area was filled with smoke. After this the police and fire brigade were informed about it. But it took 2:30 hours for the fire tenders to arrive. By then the fire had spread all over. The loss of lakhs is coming to the fore due to the fire in the oil depot.
