    Manipur government extended the ban on internet service, now the service will start after this date

    Imphal: Amid sporadic incidents of violence in Manipur, the government has once again extended the ban on mobile internet services. Now the ban on mobile internet services will continue till October 11. Commissioner (Home) T Ranjit Singh, while extending the ban on mobile internet services till October 11 in his order, said, “There is a possibility that some anti-social elements may try to incite public sentiments. “Can use social media on a large scale to disseminate images, hate speeches and hate video messages, which may have a serious impact on the law-and-order situation in the State of Manipur.”

    Violence started just two days after the ban was lifted.

    Following the massive students’ agitation, the Manipur government suspended mobile internet data services, internet/data services for five days on September 26, two days after the ban was lifted after 143 days and then extended it till October 6.
