Liquor worth 10 lakh seized in Aurangabad

Foreign liquor worth more than Rs 10 lakh was seized from a truck in Aurangabad on Monday evening. At the same time, the driver-handler has also been arrested. The incident is near Shamshernagar Bharat Petrol Pump on Daudnagar-Patna main road. This action was taken jointly by Patna Prohibition Unit and Daudnagar Police.

The arrested truck driver and helper are being interrogated. According to the information received, this action was taken by the police late on Monday evening on the basis of secret information. Police had received information that a liquor laden truck was going towards Patna Road from Aurangabad Road. Acting on a tip-off, the police seized a liquor-laden truck near Shamshernagar during vehicle checking.

When the truck was checked, some material was kept in the sack to hide the liquor cartoon. After removing the sack, cartoons of liquor were recovered. After which the truck was seized. In this regard, Daudnagar Police Station President Gufran Ali told that liquor and truck have been seized and brought to the police station. The amount of alcohol is being matched. Liquor is estimated to be worth more than Rs 10 lakh.
