RIYADH — A specialized team from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) arrived in Cairo, capital of Egypt, on Tuesday to discuss the mechanism for the delivery of Saudi aid to the Palestinian people in the besieged Gaza Strip.
This is in implementation of the directive of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman to launch a popular fundraising campaign through the Sahem platform of KSrelief to provide relief supplies to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. The King and Crown Prince issued a directive in this regard and donated SR50 million last Thursday.
The KSrelief team met Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Osama Ahmed Naqli and discussed ways to facilitate and accelerate mechanisms and procedures for transporting and dispatching of shelter materials, food baskets, and medical materials and supplies to those affected in the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing as quickly as possible, and that was on the basis of the humanitarian priorities.
