CAIRO — A King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) team has continued to hold coordination meetings in Cairo with a number of agencies and organizations to discuss ways to deliver Saudi aid to the Gaza Strip.
Among the meetings, KSrelief team met with Executive Director of the Egyptian Red Crescent Dr. Rami Al-Nazir. The two sides discussed ways of delivering humanitarian aid and relief through the Rafah Crossing to those affected in Gaza.
KSrelief team also met in the Egyptian capital with Dr. Ahmed Al-Mandhari, the World Health Organization (WHO)’s Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean.
They discussed the humanitarian situation in Gaza and the urgent needs for relief for the residents of the Strip, in addition to discussing the ways of providing healthcare assistance and supporting medical facilities in a way that contributes to alleviating the suffering of the Palestinians affected by the Israeli siege.
The mechanism of delivering medical assistance in the Gaza Strip, and the areas of partnership and cooperation to improve the health situation the Palestinian territory were also discussed.
Dr. Al-Mandhari praised the multiple programs and projects by KSrelief to support the needy and afflicted people around the world. He also expressed his appreciation for the Center’s professionalism in aid delivery that reflects Saudi Arabia’s keenness to support the Plestenians in Gaza Strip during the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
The KSrelief team arrived in Cairo on Tuesday to discuss the mechanism for the delivery of Saudi aid to the Palestinian people in the besieged Gaza Strip.
These efforts come within Saudi Arabia’s historical role of standing by the Palestinian people in the various crises and tribulations they have experienced.
