    Kotedar did black marketing of food grains in Gonda: Case filed on DM’s order, black marketing of 47 quintals of wheat and rice

    Itiathok Kotwali police of Gonda district on the instructions of District Officer Gonda Dr. Ujjwal Kumar registered a case against a Kotdar on the complaint of Regional Supply Inspector Harivansh Yadav. The Kotdar is accused of irregularities during the distribution of ration.

    Ration holders had alleged

    Darsal accused Girijesh Kumar is the Kotedar of Vardand Gram Panchayat under Itiyathok block. The villagers were constantly complaining against the Kotedar to the District Officer and the District Supply Officer. That the black marketing of food grains is done after lifting the food grains by the Kotedar Girjesh. We card holders do not get food grains unit wise. Taking cognizance of the complaint, the District Magistrate had instructed the Regional Supply Inspector Itiathok to conduct an inquiry against the accused Kotdar Girjesh.

    Police engaged in investigation of the case

    When the Supply Inspector Harivansh Yadav investigated the whole matter on the instructions of the District Magistrate, it came out in the investigation that the Kotedar has black-marketed 47 quintals of rice, wheat and edible oil and gram. And the card holders have not been given food grains. The entire case report was submitted to District Officer Dr. Ujjwal Kumar by Regional Supply Inspector Itiyathok Harivansh Yadav. On the instructions of District Magistrate Dr. Ujjwal Kumar, Regional Supply Inspector Itiyathok Harivansh Yadav had filed a complaint against the accused Kotdar at Itiathok Kotwali. The Itiawhole Police is engaged in further legal proceedings by registering a case against the fair rate vendor Girijesh Kumar Soni under the Essential Commodities Act, while the supply department is now taking action to suspend the shop after registering the case.
