The second two-day Uchhaith Kalidas State Festival was organized in the Uchhaith Kalidas Vidyapati Science College campus of Benipatti block of Madhubani district. The festival was duly inaugurated by Industry Minister Sameer Kumar Mahaseth, MLA Sudhanshu Shekhar, Vinod Narayan Jha, Haribhushan Thakur Bachaul, DM Arvind Kumar Verma, SP Sushil Kumar, Zilla Parishad President Bindu Gulab Yadav, Block Chief Soni Devi and other dignitaries. Zilla Parishad President Bindu Gulab Yadav also threw light on the glory of Uchchaith Bhagwati and the biography of Mahakavi Vidyapati and expressed the need to give detailed information to the next generations about the story from Mahamurkh Kalia to becoming Mahakavi Kalidas. MLA Sudhanshu Shekhar and Bisfi MLA Haribhushan Thakur Bachaul said that it was on the concept of Kalidas that Balmiki did Ramayana and Shakespeare etc. made big compositions. On the other hand, Benipatti MLA Vinod Narayan Jha said that all the creations of poet Vidyapati were written from the land of Uchhaith, which proves that Mithilanchal was the birthplace of Kalidas. On the other hand, Industry Minister Sameer Mahaseth said that the qualities and rituals of Mithila’s soil are the same as found in Kalidas. Madhubani words start with sweet voice and it is necessary that it should be maintained. A collective initiative needs to be taken for the development of Mithilanchal by connecting Uchchaith Kalidas Sthal with Ramayana Circuit. For this, all of us representatives also need to rise above party sentiments and make efforts. Many great personalities like great poet Kalidas, Vidyapati, Vidushi Bharti etc. have descended in Mithilanchal and there are immense possibilities in the field of tourism.

Therefore, if we have to demand funds from the Government of India for the development of tourism, then all of us should take a collective initiative together. Important facts related to the biography of Kalidas should be collected and disseminated strongly at the national level in the program of the second day, so that it would be helpful in proving that the birthplace of Kalidas is Mithila only.
