MELBOURNE: England captain Jos Buttler is hopeful that his team will be able to reach the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup, despite a Duckworth-Lewis method defeat at the hands of Ireland and a rain-washed match against Australia. England have only registered a win against Afghanistan in the Super 12 stage. They will now face New Zealand and Sri Lanka while Australia have to face relatively weaker teams like Ireland and Afghanistan.

Butler said after the match against Australia was washed out due to rain, “Look, unless something happens that is completely out of our control, we are not worried. We know we have two matches to play. We want to win both these matches and put ourselves in the best position to reach the semi-finals.”
