JEDDAH — The Jeddah Governorate Municipality has raised the level of readiness to conduct the field plan to deal with the expected rainy condition during the coming period.
The readiness also includes the preparation to deal with the effects that could result from the rains when it falls.
Jeddah Municipality indicated that more than 3,333 individuals and over 1,691 equipment and machinery are participating in conducting the rain season plan.
It has stated that the individuals and equipment will be distributed across 16 sub-municipalities and 17 support centers.
This comes within the framework of early preparations after the National Center of Meteorology and the Crisis and Disaster Management Center issued alerts regarding the rainy condition.
It is noteworthy that the Jeddah Governorate Municipality has started its preparations for the rainy season early, and that by holding rain committee meetings and implementing hypotheses.
This is in addition to maintaining and cleaning the existing rainwater drainage network, to ensure the readiness of pumps, equipment and individuals.
