Nawada SP Dr Gaurav Mangla has taken a drastic step against corruption. He has taken major action against Munni Lal Paswan, Assistant Sub Inspector (Jamadar) posted in Warisliganj police station.
Ordered arrest while suspending Jamadar on charges of corruption and patronizing sand-daru mafia, bribery, working against departmental instructions. After which an FIR was registered against the Jamadar and he was arrested.
Further action is being taken to register the FIR. According to the SP, complaints were received against Jamadar Munilal Paswan in the past as well. The SP believes that the work of the Jamadar appears to be an officer working against the departmental purpose. It is not right to cooperate with the mafia involved in illegal liquor and illegal business. His work has been found to be trying to make the priority of the Prohibition Department a failure.
The SP clearly said that the police headquarters are continuously directed for the execution of the pending cases and the arrest of the accused. The arrest of such mafia is necessary to check crime control. In future, the SP has warned of strict action against the police officials found involved in such misdeeds. A special team has also been formed to arrest the absconding accused Rakesh Singh.
