Gross negligence of the doctors of Mahatma Gandhi Hospital, Sitapura, Jaipur has come to the fore. The doctors here left scissors in the stomach of a woman during the operation, due to which her life was made.
After complaining of abdominal pain after the operation, the family members reached Sawai Mansingh Hospital with the woman. On X-ray, scissors were seen in his stomach, seeing which even the doctors were shocked. SMS doctors performed a late night operation and took out scissors from the woman’s stomach.
According to information, 30-year-old Dholi, a resident of Sawai Madhopur, was suffering from a spleen problem. On 20 April, he was admitted to the Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in Jaipur. Here the doctors performed the surgery. During that time the doctors left the scissor in his stomach and discharged him and sent him home.
Dholi’s relatives had brought him to Sawai Mansingh Hospital on Saturday after he complained of stomach pain. Here the scissors in the stomach were confirmed. According to Dr. Shalu Gupta, unit head of the SMS surgery department, the scissor has been removed after surgery.
Now Dholi’s health is completely fine. He is admitted in the ward. He will be sent home from the hospital on Tuesday. On the other hand, Mahatma Gandhi Hospital Superintendent Dr. RC Gupta says that no such case is in his knowledge.
