Patna’s Ishaan Kishan has created history by scoring the fastest double century in ODI cricket. Congratulations started pouring in as soon as he scored a double century. The happiness of Ishaan’s mother Suchitra Singh and father Pranav Pandey was worth seeing. There was an atmosphere of celebration at the house located in Vasant Vihar Colony of Ashiana Nagar. Both expressed happiness by feeding each other sweets.
Mother said – I had not played two matches, so she gathered a lot of courage in this match and sat near the TV. That too when it was known that Ishaan had scored 100 runs. He has been quite a struggler since childhood. Ishaan will play in all three formats in the days to come, is a mother’s belief. Father Pranav Pandey said that he has achieved this position by his passion. But, he still has to go further.
Craze was such that he left school for cricket; forgot to eat
Ishaan had such a passion for cricket since childhood that he left school for the game. Ishaan clearly told the teacher that he can leave studies for sports, then he was expelled from the school. Ishaan’s childhood friend Yashasvi Singh says that he has never seen a cricket lover like him. He used to forget everything to eat and drink. Used to study in DPS Public School with Ishaan in class 9. Ishaan was expelled from this school. Later Ishaan did matriculation from a private school in Phulwari.
Sacrifice of elder brother made him king of cricket
Behind Ishaan’s success is his elder brother’s great sacrifice. About 15 years ago the Bihar team of the School Games Federation went to Mumbai to play. Both brothers Ishaan and Raj Kishan were selected in this team. Elder brother Raj Kishan was the opener, so he was able to perform, while younger brother Ishan Kishan did not get a chance.
The younger brother was a little disappointed, but he was later shunned by the elder brother by leaving cricket. This story of Ishaan Kishan and his elder brother Raj Kishan is an example of great sacrifice. Then Ishaan was 9 years old, Raj Kishan was a good player. Raj Kishan says that he had foretold that Ishaan will create history one day or the other.
