Captain Shafali Verma’s blistering 78-run knock besides Shweta Sehrawat’s unbeaten half-century helped India thrash UAE by 122 runs in the inaugural Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup here on Monday. Shweta showed her intentions with three fours in the first over itself. In the next over, Shefali also hit three fours and then the first six of the innings in the fifth over. Shafali completed her half-century with a four. Shefali returned to the pavilion after hitting three sixes and a four in five balls, caught at long off.
