    Ind vs SL ODI series | ‘I have not left T20 cricket yet’, Rohit Sharma replied before the ODI series

    GuwahatiIndia’s Test and ODI captain Rohit Sharma on Monday said that he has no plans to ‘give up T20 Internationals’. If sources are to be believed in the Indian Cricket Board, the board wants to prepare a young team under the leadership of Hardik for the T20 World Cup to be held in West Indies and America in 2024.

    Rohit said on the eve of the first ODI against Sri Lanka, “The first thing is that it is not possible to play consecutive matches. You need to give them (players across formats) enough rest. Same is the case with me. We have three T20 Internationals to play against New Zealand. Will think something after IPL in this matter. I have not decided to give up the format.”

    First ODI on 10 January

    Be aware that the three-match ODI series between India and Sri Lanka (India vs Sri Lanka ODI Series) is going to start from January 10. The first match between India and Sri Lanka is going to be played in Guwahati on 10 January.

    Jasprit Bumrah out

    The Indian team has suffered a major setback ahead of the ODI series. Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, returning after injury, has been ruled out of the ODI series. Bumrah was included in the first ODI team. But, now he has been dropped from the series. The ODI team was changed by the BCCI on January 3, when Jasprit Bumrah was included in the ODI team. But, now in view of the ODI World Cup, he has been dropped from the Sri Lanka series.
