Captain Rohit Sharma made a big disclosure after the match was over. He said that Mohammed Shami had appealed, but Dasun was playing on 98. He was batting brilliantly and we didn’t want to get him out like that. We wanted to get him out in the right way, but Mankading was not one of them. So we withdrew our appeal.
Dasun Shanaka completed his century after the Indian team withdrew the appeal. Dasun hit 12 fours and 3 sixes in his innings of 103 off 88 balls. Sri Lanka could not win the match even after this innings. Sri Lanka scored 306 runs in 50 overs. Sri Lanka lost the match by 67 runs.
