IND VS AUS Day 2: The game ended on the second day of the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur on Friday. India has scored 321 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in response to Australia’s 177 runs. Ravindra Jadeja (66) and Akshar Patel (52) returned unbeaten after scoring runs. Both shared an unbeaten 81-run partnership for the eighth wicket. India has got a lead of 144 runs on the basis of first innings against Australia. All the four matches of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy are important for India and Australia. If the Indian team has to secure a place in the final of the World Test Championship, then it will have to beat Australia by a margin of 3-0. If India won the series 2–0 or tied it 2–2, Sri Lanka would have a chance to reach the final. Sri Lanka needs to beat New Zealand 2-0.
