In Jamui, a minor child was bitten by a snake: family members engaged in exorcism, died during treatment

A five-year-old minor child, who went to keep the bike key in Navinagar village of Sadar block area in Jamui, was bitten by a snake, after which the family took him to the village’s tantrik for exorcism. Where his condition started getting serious, he was brought to Sadar Hospital for treatment, where he was referred to PMCH for better treatment, but the family took him to Sheikhpura for treatment where he died during treatment in a private clinic.

The deceased was identified as Alok Kumar, the 5-year-old son of Ramadhar Paswan, a resident of Navinagar village. It is being told that when the minor went inside the house to keep the bike key, he was bitten by a snake, but the child told the family that he was bitten by the mouse, due to which the family ignored it as a minor matter. At the same time, when the child’s condition started becoming critical, he was taken to the tantrik for a scuffle, but when there was no improvement, the family brought him to the Sadar Hospital. By then the condition of the child had become critical. Which was referred to Patna for better treatment. But the family admitted him to a private clinic in Sheikhpura district where he died during treatment.
