In fact, on October 21, the Election Commission of Pakistan had disqualified Imran for 5 years in the Toshkhana case. Along with this, his membership of Parliament has also been canceled. After this decision, Imran will not be able to contest elections for the next 5 years. Imran was accused that he had bought the gifts deposited in Toshakhana cheaply and sold them at high prices.
Simultaneously, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday termed Imran Khan as a “certified thief”, a day after he was disqualified for hiding assets in the Toshakhana case. It is alleged that Khan was disqualified by the Election Commission of Pakistan on Friday for failing to inform about the money received after selling the Gifts of the Nation. It is also known as Toshakhana case.
