In Aurangabad, continuous action is being taken by the police to stop illegal sand mining, but still the sand mafia is succeeding in their nefarious designs. Despite police raids, illegal sand mining continues in the district every day. Meanwhile, taking action, Rafiganj police have seized two tractors carrying illegal sand. At the same time, three businessmen have also been arrested. The incident is near Charkawan of Rafiganj police station area.
The arrested businessmen include Jeetu Manjhi, resident of Pandeypokhar village of Konch police station area of Gaya district, vehicle owner Virendra Sao and a driver Manoj Kumar. The police got a tip-off that two tractors were being illegally mined and transported. Immediately after the information, Rafiganj police started raids. As soon as the police caught sight of the driver and the businessmen, they started running away. After which the soldiers chased the three and caught them. Then everyone was brought to the police station.
In this regard, Rafiganj SHO Ram Iqbal Yadav said that an FIR has been registered in the matter. The arrested accused were sent to the court for remand. From where all three have been sent to judicial custody. Illegal sand mining will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Strict action will be taken against those involved in this.
