Husband accused of burning wife in Katihar
Refusing to sell land to her drunken husband in Katihar proved costly for a married woman. The married woman had to pay the price for this by giving her life. The matter is related to Degree Panchayat of Kodha police station area of the district. An inebriated husband burnt his wife alive in Ward No. 03 under Dighri Panchayat of Kodha police station area. Relatives took him to Katihar Medical College for treatment. Where he died during treatment.
According to information, Gaurav Jha burnt his wife alive last night under the influence of alcohol in ward number 3 under Dighari Panchayat of police station area. However, he was taken to Katihar Medical College for treatment where he died on Tuesday late evening during treatment.
Family members accused husband and in-laws of murder
A statement has also been given by the deceased to the police at Katihar Medical College. In the statement, she has accused her husband Gaurav Jha of burning her alive to death.
Along with this, there was also talk of harassment against the alcoholic husband and father-in-law. Prashant Jha, the brother of the deceased told that his brother-in-law Gaurav Jha used to work in a private company. Due to Gaurav’s wrong habit, he was fired from the job.
When the husband refused to sell the land, he set it on fire.
He used to fight unnecessarily in the house. He said that Gaurav was determined to sell his land, but my sister Meenu Jha was refusing to send the land. On refusing to sell the land, Gaurav Kumar burnt his sister by pouring kerosene oil on her. When those people came to know about the incident, they reached in a hurry and took him to Katihar Sadar Hospital for treatment. Where doctors after doing first aid referred Katihar Medical College for better treatment.
Today the married woman died during treatment at the Medical College. The brother of the deceased told that his sister also has two children, the family members are in bad condition by crying over the incident, the OP police in-charge said that on the information of the family members of the deceased, a separate statement has been taken. The matter is being investigated, the guilty will not go to the box under any circumstances.
