In Aurangabad on Monday, the high-speed ballast-laden highway went uncontrollably and fell into the Punpun river under the bridge. Due to which the owner and driver of the vehicle on the highway were seriously injured. The incident is from Kharanti bridge of Obra police station area. Injured vehicle owner Rahul Ranjan and driver Pankaj Yadav are residents of Fatehpur village of Paliganj police station area of Patna district.
After the incident, it was informed to Obra police. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and somehow pulled out both of them. Then hurriedly taken to Obra Community Health Center for treatment. From where after the first treatment, both were referred out for better treatment.
According to the information, the highway was going from Aurangabad towards Patna. It was loaded with ballast. As soon as the Kharanti bridge approached, the highway went out of control and collided with the railing of the bridge. Breaking the railing, fell 20 feet down into the pit of the river. Due to which the driver and owner were seriously injured.
Obra SHO Pankaj Kumar Saini said that the condition of the vehicle owner is pathetic. While the condition of the driver is fine. After the incident, the police informed the family members. After which the family reached the hospital and inquired about the condition of the injured.
