The woman, who was returning to her home after purchasing goods from Ramgarh market in Kaimur district, was hit by a speeding biker while crossing the road. In this accident, the woman died a painful death on the spot.
Angry villagers blocked the Buxar Mohania road on the information of the woman’s death in a road accident. They also started demanding proper compensation. On the other hand, the bike rider fled from the spot leaving his bike. It is said that the woman Sonmati Devi was a resident of Odiadih village of Ramgarh police station.
On Friday, Ramgarh was returning to her house after buying goods from the market. As soon as Buxar started crossing the Mohania road in front, the bike rider coming from Buxar side hit Sonmati Devi, hence she died. After the death of the woman in a road accident, the local police reached the spot on the information of road jam. The police had to struggle a lot to clear the jam. Buxar Mohania Road remained jammed for about 2 hours.
During this time, passengers and goods trains passing through this route had to face a lot of trouble. The local police administration believes that in case of death due to road accident, the amount given by the government from the disaster relief fund will be given to the family members of the deceased. After this the angry villagers calmed down, then the police took the dead body in possession and sent it to Sadar Hospital Bhabua for postmortem.
