    Heavy Rain in Gurugram: Light to moderate rain continued for the second day on Friday, causing heavy waterlogging in many areas of Gurugram. Due to this, traffic was disrupted at many places. According to the district administration, 114 mm of rain was recorded in Gurugram tehsil and 130 mm in Wazirabad tehsil till 7.30 am in two days.

    Rain water entered the houses at many places including Sheetla Colony, Palam Vihar, Surat Nagar, Prem Canal, Sector-14, Chakkarpur village, Natupur, DLF-3, Rajiv Nagar, Sanjay Village. State highways and several city roads, including Delhi-Jaipur, were submerged in an average of three feet of water. Though the district administration claimed that the rain water has receded from many places, the movement of traffic on Delhi-Jaipur has been badly affected. Traffic was affected on the Delhi-Jaipur-Mumbai highway due to waterlogging.

    Hero Honda Chowk, IFFCO Chowk, Jharsa Chowk, Sector-31, Narsinghpur, Sohna Road, Basai Chowk, Sohna Chowk, Sector 4-7-9 Near Delhi-Jaipur Expressway (NH-48) Service Lane, Hanuman Chowk, Atlas Chowk , Artemis Road, Kanhai Chowk, Golf Course Road, Vatika Chowk, Subhash Chowk, Bagtawar Chowk, Atul Kataria Chowk, Kapashera Border, Udyog Vihar, Jokabpura, Sadar Bazar, Mahavir Chowk, Dundahera and Jwala Chakki near Medanta Underpass are the most affected. .

    Apart from these areas, Sheetla Mata Road, Sector-12 Market Road, Sanjay Gram Road, Old Delhi Road, Palam Vihar Road, Kartapuri Chowk, Sector-4 Road, Udyog Vihar and Signature Tower Chowk were also badly affected by waterlogging. Due to waterlogging in many parts, the movement of both vehicles and pedestrians was disrupted. Despite the work from home advisory of the administration, the traffic was badly affected and the police had to struggle to steer the vehicles. Struggling to keep the traffic moving, the policemen were seen standing knee-deep in the water.

Not only the main parts of the city, bus stands and connecting roads were submerged by the rain water, but the roads in the interior area also got waterlogged.
