A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Surat in Gujarat where a 17-year-old minor killed an auto driver for an apple worth just Rs 20. Police have arrested three people including a minor in this case. It is being told that there was an argument during the payment of apple money and the minor carried out the incident.
Know what is the matter?
The auto driver named Mahipal alias Mahipat, the deceased, allegedly refused to pay the amount of an apple. This enraged the minor and he hit the auto driver on the head with a stick on Tuesday night. The auto driver, who was seriously injured and bleeding from his head, fell on the road and was seriously injured. After which the accused along with other associates shifted him to a nearby hospital but it was suggested to move the patient to another hospital if his condition was critical.
The accused threw the auto driver on the service road without taking him to another hospital.
However, instead of taking the injured auto driver to another hospital, the accused threw the injured auto driver on the service road in Punagam area and fled from the spot. Police arrested Sunil Devipujak (19) and his father Chandu (42) for helping the auto driver to throw him on the road. All the accused were arrested after their involvement was found through CCTV footage. The minor will be sent to the remand home after being produced in the juvenile court.
The elder brother of the deceased lodged an FIR
In this regard, the elder brother of the deceased Lalji has lodged an FIR. Meanwhile, local people on seeing the body on the road informed the police, who after preliminary investigation found that the deceased had been murdered.
