    Gujarat Assembly Elections 2022: Congress released second list of 46 candidates from Gujarat, got tickets

    The Congress party has also released the second list of candidates for the Gujarat elections late on Thursday. Tickets have been distributed to 46 candidates in this list. Earlier, 43 candidates were given tickets in the first list released by the party.

    The Congress on Thursday released the second list of 46 candidates for the Gujarat Assembly elections to be held in two phases on December 1 and 5. With the release of the second list, the total number of candidates declared so far by the party has gone up to 89. The Congress on Friday released its first list of 43 candidates for the Gujarat Assembly elections.

    The candidates in the second list include Arjanbhai Bhudia from Bhuj, Bhikhabhai Joshi from Junagadh, Aslam Cyclewala from Surat East, Ashokbhai Patel from Surat North. On the other hand, Kamal Kumar Patel has been fielded from Valsad.

    The Congress party has been demanding the public to oust the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from power in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home state. The BJP has been in power here for more than two decades. Elections to the 182-seat Gujarat Assembly will be held in two phases on December 1 and December 5 and the counting of votes will take place on December 8.
