A case of theft has been registered against the sub-inspector and two constables posted earlier at Gorakhpur Rajghat police station. He is accused of stealing goods from the Malkhana. Inspector is currently in charge of Rudrapur Kotwali of Deoria. The case has been registered following the court’s order. The case is being investigated.
According to the information, Akash Verma, a resident of Raiganj North, had given an application to the Chief Judicial Magistrate and told that his goods kept in the Malkhana of Rajghat police station had been stolen. In the year 2018, Sarraf had accused Naveen Singh and constables of stealing CC camera, DVR, hard disk, computer equipment, jewelry and money.
It is written in the police report that the goods were deposited in the Malkhana by the then SHO Naveen Singh, chief constables Maniram Maurya and Arvind Singh. On December 2, 2019, the court ordered the release of the goods. On December 7, when he went to the police station with a copy of the order, the Diwan sent him away saying that there was no stock in the Malkhana. The Chief Judicial Magistrate had ordered registration of a case against the accused for stealing goods from the Malkhana and threatening them.
