On Sunday, the police got a major breakthrough in the Ghaziabad religious conversion case, where the mastermind of the case, Shahnawaz Khan alias Baddo, was arrested from Maharashtra. After which the police presented him in the court on Monday.
Police sought remand of the accused in Thane court. On this, the court has approved the transit remand till June 15. A team of UP Police is present there. She will bring him to Ghaziabad by road. After which he will be questioned.
The accused is very clever
Baddo would play online games and make children his victims. Then brainwashed them and asked them to accept Islam. This came to light when a boy in Rajnagar, Ghaziabad fell under her spell. He used to go to the mosque secretly from his family members and offer Namaz.
When the family members of the child came to know about this, they were shocked. He immediately reached the police and told them the whole matter. Based on his statement, an FIR was registered at Kavinagar police station in Ghaziabad on May 30, since then the search for Baddo was on. In this case, an FIR has also been lodged against the cleric of a mosque in Ghaziabad. He accepted the matter of conversion.
