Puja committee convener Prabhat Kumar and other devotees performing aarti.
On the occasion of Ashwin and Sharad Purnima, Ganga Aarti was performed on Sahupokhar on behalf of the Sahupokhar Puja Committee located in Muzaffarpur city. Prior to this, Pandit Rakesh Tiwari performed aarti with incense-lamp after offering bhog and offering Shodashopachar puja to Mother Ganga and Lord Shiva along with Vedic chanting. Prabhat Kumar, the convener of the Puja Committee, said that we have taken a pledge to keep the river, pond and well pond clean through the worship of Mother Ganga. Ganga resides in every water. That is why its cleanliness and reverence for it is our priority. Every month this resolution reaches door to door under the campaign through Ganga Aarti.
During the aarti, the whole atmosphere resonated with the chants of Jai Shri Ram and Har Har Mahadev along with drums, mridang, damru and jhal. During this, Pandit Varun Pandey, Sriranjan Sahu, Manish Soni, Tara Gupta, Ganesh Sah, Manjay Dubey, Advocate Kanchan Kumar, Mukesh Rajpal, Dinesh Mahato, Jugnu Mahato, Prem Kumar Mahato, Ranjit Mahato, Ritesh Patel, Lakhan Poddar, Veeru, Sunny Hundreds of devotees including Mahto were present.
