Gandak river continues to wreak havoc in Motihari: life of people of Puchhariya village of Sangrampur block with the help of boat

The river is in spate due to continuous rains in Nepal, the neighboring country of Motihari. Due to release of water from Gandak barrage, the orgy of Gandak river passing through Areraj Sangrampur of Motihari continues. Due to which the flood water is spreading very fast in the low-lying areas of Areraj and Sangrampur blocks of Areraj subdivision area. The situation is that the water of Gandak has entered the homes of many people. Due to which the stove is not even burning in many houses.

Despite all this, but till now arrangements have been made for drought relief for the flood affected people by the district administration. The administration has left the flood victims on their own. Due to which resentment is being seen among the people towards the administration.

District councilor knew the condition of flood victims

After the flood water entered the low-lying areas of Sangrampur block, all the flood victims are making the dam their shelter. District councilor member Pankaj Dwivedi reached to meet this now, during which apart from the local administration, the district administration talked about providing relief material to the flood victims. Raising questions on the administration, he said that not a single administration person has come to fulfill the flood victims so far. No arrangement has been made for their food.

The life of the people of Poochriya village with the help of boat

The lives of the people of Poocharia village, situated on the banks of the Gandak river, have been reduced to a boat. Flood victim Rakesh Kumar told that the water of the river is rising. People have entered the houses. Now leaving home, they are taking shelter at a higher place.
