In fact, the Ulav airport of Begusarai will be renovated soon. Regarding this, Union Minister cum local MP Giriraj Singh held a meeting with Civil Aviation and Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Friday evening. During this, he demanded the minister to take initiative to start flight from Begusarai Ulav Airport. After this, Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia spoke to the Begusarai District Officer on the phone and got information about the physical condition of the local airport. Further, it has been decided in the meeting that the Ministry of Aviation will soon send a team of experts to Begusarai, which will inspect the site and report to the Ministry. After this, the tender process will be started soon.

Let us inform that the local MP Giriraj Singh had written a letter to the Aviation and Aviation Minister some time back, after which the date of the meeting was decided. He requested the Begusarai airport to be included in the “Udaan scheme”. Union Minister Giriraj Singh had said in his letter that Begusarai has industrial importance in Bihar. Along with this, Begusarai airport will be of commercial and public utility importance for a large population including parts of Munger, Lakhisarai, Samastipur, Khagaria, Saharsa and Bhagalpur and Patna.

About 47 acres of land has been acquired for the Begusarai airport, which can be started with immediate development. Depicting the usefulness of the airport of Begusarai, the Union Minister said that it would be useful for the large population, which would pave the way for the development of the entire region. Giving information about this, Member of Parliament Amarendra Kumar Amar said that Begusarai has all the eligibility for the Central Government’s ambitious scheme UDAN. Earlier, Rajya Sabha MP Rakesh Sinha had also raised the demand for starting Begusarai airport in the Rajya Sabha.
