The house caught fire due to short circuit in Sheikhpura. The whole matter is of Khorampur village of Nagar police station area, where property worth Rs 5 lakh including 60 thousand cash was burnt to ashes due to fire.

Let us tell you that the whole incident happened last night in ward number 14 of city council Sheikhpura. The incident took place in the house of Sujit Kumar, son of Rajendra Yadav of the village. After getting information about the incident, the villagers rushed to the spot after the house owner raised an alarm and the fire was brought under control with the help of the villagers. However, after receiving information about the incident, the fire brigade under the leadership of Teejan Ram, in-charge of the fire station Sheikhpura, reached the spot and the fire was brought under control. The victim told that in this incident 60 thousand cash, gold and silver jewellery, cloth, mattress, divan bed, fridge, cooler, fan, sofa, 3 chest, almirah, dressing table and other valuables were burnt.
