Fertilizer shortage: Mother standing in line to send Urea to daughter’s in-laws amid brawl

Black marketing of urea is going on indiscriminately in the district. Because of which urea is not available to the farmers. Urea is also available at some government warehouse, so there is a tussle to get it. In other blocks including Paru, Sahebganj, Kanti, people are forced to go for urea. The fighting of urea is such that the mother is waiting in line to send her daughter to her in-laws house. Such a case came to the fore in Sahebganj block.

The woman standing in the queue told that she has compulsion. The daughter has called her in-laws and asked to send a sack of urea. Here, the consumers blocked the Kanti-Madvan main road alleging rigging in distribution in the trade board located in the Kanti block premises.

The farmers of Kanti alleged that black marketing of urea takes place inside the godown, while the needy are being avoided. Warehouse incharge Prakhar Kumar told that the stock has arrived, but due to not being online, distribution is not being done. Urea will be distributed after it goes online.
