At Vibhutipur CHC in Samastipur district on Wednesday, a woman suffering from labor pain was referred after half of her child was removed from her body. The child later died in a private clinic. After which angry people reached the CHC and locked it on Wednesday evening. During this, people were raising slogans against the health administration by taking the dead newborn in their arms. The ruckus of the people continued till late evening. Due to the commotion of the people, the health workers have fled from there.

It is said that Soni Kumari (27), wife of Dharvendra alias Dharamveer Kumar, resident of Singhia Ghat Ward 7, was admitted to Vibhutipur CHC for delivery at around 10 am on Wednesday along with her family members. In the same delivery, the baby was taking birth upside down. In this the body of the child was taken out. And the neck got stuck, so he was referred in a hurry. And the posted nurse and Mamta slipped away from there. After that, the relatives somehow took them out and reached a private hospital at Singhia Ghat via ambulance. There, after a small operation, a baby was born who was found dead. On the other hand, the condition of the pregnant woman is said to be normal.

Enraged by this, the relatives took the dead child in their arms and reached the CHC and started creating ruckus. During this people locked the hospital. During this, people accused the hospital staff of being negligent. People said that when the condition of the woman was already serious then why was she not referred earlier.

Sanjay Kumar, health manager of Vibhutipur CHC, has received information about the incident. Health workers are being accused of negligence by the relatives. This will be checked and written to the senior officer.
