Excise Police action in Jamui: 66 drunkards and 7 smugglers arrested in raid operation, 44 liters of country liquor recovered

In Jamui, the excise police launched a raid campaign against those who drink and sell liquor. In which 66 drunkards and 7 liquor smugglers have been arrested from different areas of the district along with 44 liters of country liquor. It is said that on Monday and Tuesday, the team of the excise department jointly conducted a raid campaign in various areas including Jhajha, Sono, Jamui, Barhat, Giddhaur, Khaira by the Lakhisarai, Shukhpura and Jamui police.

During this, the excise police arrested 66 drunkards from different areas while having a liquor party. While 7 liquor smugglers have been arrested while selling liquor. At the same time, the police have recovered 44 liters of country liquor from the said smugglers.

Giving information, Product Superintendent Sanjeev Thakur said that on the instructions of the senior officer of the department, a joint raid campaign was conducted for two days by the police of three districts. In which 66 drunkards and 7 liquor smugglers have been arrested. While the police have also recovered 44 liters of country liquor. All were sent to judicial custody after questioning.
