    Excise department’s campaign in Supaul: 6 liquor merchants were arrested, 100 others were also caught

    On the instructions of the Additional Chief Secretary of Bihar, a special campaign was launched by the Excise Department of Supaul district. In this campaign, there has been a big success in catching 100 drunkards including 6 liquor traders from different areas of the district. During this, 19 bottles of foreign liquor as well as 16.7 liters of liquor and two motorcycles have been seized.

    In the arrest, 3 doctors and a bank employee have been caught in the case of drinking alcohol. Supaul District Excise Superintendent Lala Ajay Kumar, while issuing a press release to the media late on Sunday evening, informed that on the instructions of the Additional Chief Secretary of the state, alcohol On Saturday, a special campaign was launched by the Prohibition Department, Supaul, in various police station areas of the district. During this, not only the liquor traders were caught, but only 94 drunkards were caught.

    At the same time, Excise Superintendent Lala Ajay Kumar informed that under the special campaign, each passers-by were checked by installing a breath analyzer in Birpur police station area. During which 35 persons were arrested. While 18 people were arrested from Triveniganj police station area. The same 47 people were arrested by the team of Excise Department from Supaul Sadar police station and its surrounding areas.

    Information was given about the arrest of 100 persons during the special campaign in different areas of the district. In this, 6 liquor traders were also arrested. The liquor traders from whom 19 bottles of foreign liquor and 16.7 liters of liquor were recovered. Two motorcycles have also been confiscated during this raid.

    At the same time, the Excise Superintendent said that for violating the Liquor Act Act, legal action is being taken against these people by registering a case and sending them to jail in judicial custody.
