Encounter between SSB and Naxalites in Lakhisarai: Hardcore Naxalite Shri Koda arrested, INSAS rifle, three magazines and 125 live cartridges recovered

SSB and local police conducted joint raid operation

During the search operation, SSB jawans arrested a Naxalite from the dense forest of Mugner and Lakhisarai, from whom arms and cartridges were recovered. Under the joint raid search operation of SSB and local police from Kashi toll forest under Kajra police station of Lakhisarai district of Bihar, a Naxalite, whose name Mr. Koda was arrested from Hanuman than forest. It said that the person, a resident of Kajra forest, from whose possession one INSAS weapon and cartridges were recovered, was reportedly running a big rake of Maoists, of which he was an active member. At the same time, SSB personnel including Naxal SP Abhiyan Moti Lal and Kajra Commander were present during this press conference.

In this regard, Lakhisarai Superintendent of Police Pankaj Kumar said that information was received at night that a large number of Naxalites led by Mr. Koda and Suresh Koda were moving in the forest at Kajra, Piri Bazar, Local. A meeting was held with the Police and STF Santosh Kumar, SSB Commander Tomar jawans, after which a search operation was conducted in the jungles in the night itself, in which Mr. Koda was arrested, on whose evidence raids have been conducted at other places. An encounter with the entire team of Naxalites and our jawans started near Kashitola forest by Suresh Koda. Hundreds of rounds of firing took place from both the sides on the spot.

125 live cartridges recovered

After that a search operation was conducted from where one INSAS rifle, three magazines, one hundred and twenty five live cartridges have been recovered, apart from this several kiosks have been recovered. When the weapon was found, it has become clear that the Naxalites left the weapon and ran away. So far, one and a half dozen cases have been registered in Lakhisarai against the arrested Naxalites. It was also learned that the activities of Naxalites in the forest are carried out through Mr. Koda and Suresh Koda. There is always action going on among the Naxalites and it will continue in the future as well.
