SHARM EL SHEIKH — Egyptian President Abdelfattah El-Sisi said on Monday that the world needs to address climate change, its impacts and big losses to humanity, billing climate change as a pressing world issue.
In a keynote speech during the UN climate summit COP27, held in Egypt’s Red Sea resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh, El-Sisi said his country is keen to work with all world countries to promote the values of cooperation and joint work in all fields .
He added that the entire world is waiting for the findings and results of this gathering, calling on world leaders to act urgently in order to honor their relevant commitments.
In this regard, he maintained, this summit is called the “Implementation Summit”, a goal for which all efforts should be exerted, emphasizing that this gathering is a chance to make a better future for generations to come.
The 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) takes place from November 6 to 18 in Sharm El-Sheikh, focusing on the collective threat of climate change. COP27 is an opportunity for world leaders to show solidarity and take concerted action against climate change. , Agencies
