ED Raids: The ED’s screws are being tightened in the Delhi liquor scam. Taking major action, ED has conducted raids in three states including Delhi this morning. According to sources, ED is conducting raids at various 35 locations in Punjab and Hyderabad besides Delhi. It is being told that the investigating agency is searching some liquor distributors, companies and their associated entities.

At the same time, after the action of ED, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP’s national convener Arvind Kejriwal has attacked the investigating agencies. He tweeted that the time of officials is being wasted for dirty politics. He wrote in his tweet that, “More than 500 raids, since 3 months more than 300 CBI/ED officers are working 24 hours – to find evidence against one Manish Sisodia. Can’t find anything. Because nothing has been done.” The time of so many officials is being wasted for their dirty politics. How will such a country progress?”
ED had arrested liquor baron Sameer Mahendru last month
Let us tell you, last month, the ED took major action in the Delhi Excise Policy case. The ED team had arrested liquor baron Sameer Mahendru in this popular case. Earlier, the CBI had arrested Vijay Nair, former CEO of event management company Only Much Louder, in the same case.
At the same time, in this case, the CBI has issued a look out circular notice against eight accused including Manish Sisodia. A total of nine people are named in the FIR, out of which only a look out circular has not been issued against Manoj Rai, the former Vice President of Pernod Ricard.

At the same time, Manish Sisodia has been made accused number 1 in the FIR registered by the CBI in the same case. A total of 15 people including Sisodia have been named in this FIR. Tension has increased between the Aam Aadmi Party and the central government after the CBI raids on Sisodia’s residence and other places. AAP has alleged that the agency is acting on ‘orders from above’
