According to this, the epicenter of the earthquake was 37 km southeast of Aquila near the border of Colima and Michoacán states at a depth of 15.1 km. The magnitude of the earthquake was initially reported as 7.5. Significantly, earthquake tremors were felt in Mexico in 1985 and 2017 on the same day (September 19).

Strong earthquake in Taiwan
