Diwali celebration in Aurangabad: People of Buddhism are celebrating Diwali in the form of Deepdanotsav, Emperor Ashoka took the pledge on this day

Here the Hindu religious part of a society is celebrating this festival in the joy of returning to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram. At the same time, the Buddhist religious part is celebrating Emperor Ashoka as Deepdanotsav.

Deepdanotsav was organized on Sunday at Samrat Ashok Buddha Vihar, Jagdev Chowk Amba. The program was presided over by Periyar Saryu Buddhist and conducted by Baijnath Mehta. At the same time, Bhim Army District President Karan Paswan told that after the victory in the Kalinga war, Emperor Ashoka had vowed after hearing the screams of the injured that we want Buddha not war. On the basis of 84000 words of Mercury, 84000 chaityas and stupas were built.

It is worth mentioning that by lighting a lamp on the night of Amavasya of Kartik month, this message was given to the society that just as lighting a lamp removes darkness, in the same way the words of Lord Buddha drive away ignorance. The Buddhist Biharis were destroyed by Bakhtiyar Khilji with the aim of erasing the identity of Buddhism and the Deepdanotsav, which lasted for fifteen hundred years, became Deepawali after the 12th century.

There was a lot of enthusiasm among the people during the Deepotsav at Budh Vihar in Amba. Ravindra Kumar, Jitendra Kumar, Nandlal Bharti, Ashish Kumar, Upendra Kumar Ram, Naresh Mehta, Kanhai Mehta, Surendra Verma, Upendra Paswan, Alok Kumar, Santosh Kumar Mehta, Surendra Kumar Mehta, Santan Kumar Verma etc. were present on this occasion.
