    District level Aadhaar committee meeting under the chairmanship of DM

    A meeting of the district level monitoring committee related to Aadhaar was held today under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh. In the meeting, he directed for speedy diagnosis of problems related to Aadhar card and to speed up the pace of making new Aadhaar. DM said that Aadhaar card is mandatory in various schemes of the government. In such a situation, in view of the wider public interest, the problems related to the base should be resolved expeditiously.

    Aadhar of 35,73,094 people has been made in the district. DM directed to make Aadhaar of children in the age group 0-05 on priority. He directed the Child Development and Nutrition Department and the Education Department to make this work responsible. Along with this, it will also be linked with the birth registration of the Health Department.

    The District Magistrate said that complaints related to Aadhar card are being redressed through 172 active kits in the district. Those who want to make changes in their name, address, mobile number, biometric data etc. in Aadhaar can visit these centers to get them updated.

    The District Magistrate directed to open Aadhaar Seva Kendras in all 16 blocks and 5 tehsils of the district. At present only one Aadhar Seva Kendra is functioning in the district.

    The District Magistrate directed the Santosh Kumar representative UA / IDAI to ensure the need for additional Aadhaar enrollment and updation centers and the availability of Aadhaar centers in deprived areas and ensure that arrangements should be made by assessing the kits according to the norms.

    It was found in the meeting that the progress of India Post Payment Bank (IPPB) is very poor. In the month of October, 2022, the work of updation/registration of 3519 has been done, on which the District Magistrate expressed deep displeasure and directed to ensure progress by updating it within a week.

    Lead bank manager was absent in the meeting without any notice, show cause notice was issued to him.

    Directed the District Basic Education Officer, Deoria to make sure that Aadhaar enrollment/updation is done by activating the remaining 14 kits within a week.

    The District Magistrate said that a special campaign is being run by the Regional Office of the Indian Authority for Aadhaar update in Deoria district, so that the residents can get their Aadhaar updated easily, for this special Aadhaar camps are being organized. Aadhar is a very important document, through which the benefits of all the schemes of the central and government are available. That’s why it’s important to be updated and comfortable. If your Aadhar is updated, then it becomes very easy to get the benefits of the central and state government schemes.

    The District Magistrate has informed the residents of the district that if it has been 10 years or more, then go to your nearest Aadhaar center and get the Aadhaar updated.

    There is a special feature in Aadhaar, that you can easily update it. In particular, always keep your address and mobile number updated, so if it has been 10 years or more, then definitely update your Aadhaar.

    For Aadhaar update, bring your Proof of Address (POA) and Proof of Identity (POL) to your nearest Aadhaar center and get your Aadhaar updated, the prescribed fee for this is Rs 50. You can also update your Proof of Address (PoA) and Proof of Identity (Pol) online from https://myaadhaar-uidai.gov.in/ for which the prescribed fee is Rs.25.     At present, the project of creating a family ID is also going on in Uttar Pradesh, so that better facilities can be given to the residents through Aadhaar. In this important work, if the identity documents (Pol) and address documents (PoA) are updated in Aadhaar, then there will be more coordination / more transparency in the delivery of services.

    Various officers including Chief Development Officer Ravindra Kumar, DIOS Vinod Kumar Rai, District Social Welfare Officer Jaiswar Lal Bahadur, District Minority Welfare Officer Neeraj Agarwal, DSTO Manoj Shrivastava, District Probation Officer Anil Sonkar were present in the meeting.
