A two-year-old child has died due to drowning in the Surya Mandir pond located in the Kochus block headquarters of Rohtas district on Saturday evening. The deceased child is said to be the son of Chandan Paswan, a resident of Pipardih village of Nasriganj block area. In this regard, relatives told that the child had come to Kochus Nanihal with the mother and father sometime back.
His mother Radhika Devi along with her son and husband had come to her maternal ward three resident Gandhi Pasawan. Gandhi Paswan is Radhika’s father. In this sequence, Radhika took her two-year-old son out of her arms and started talking to other relatives.
During this, when the child went towards the pond while walking, no one knew. It is said that the Sun temple situated at some distance from the house went to the body of the pond and fell from there and drowned in Pokhara.
After some time passed here, the search for the child started in the house. But as the child could not be found anywhere, the family members started searching for the child. In this sequence, on the banks of the pond, where the child was found unconscious on one side of the pond. In a hurry, the relatives took the child to the community health center where the child was declared brought dead.
There were no doctors in CHC
It is said that when the child was brought to the CHC, there was no doctor there. People said that the duty was of a female doctor, but she had gone to Patna only at three o’clock. Told that she comes and goes from Patna only. He was not even in charge of the CHY. There is resentment among the people regarding the system of CHC.
