Death of a prisoner in Aurangabad Mandal Jail: Fear of heart attack, family members created ruckus by placing dead body at Ramesh Chowk; order of inquiry

An accused of murder in Aurangabad suddenly died on Wednesday morning in Mandal Jail Aurangabad. Significantly, on October 21, four including the deceased prisoner were convicted. In which the date of final hearing on the point of punishment was fixed on November 4. In this incident, the deceased has been identified as Lalan Paswan, a resident of Paswan Bigha located in Bairia Bazar under Mali police station.

It is believed that the prisoner died of a heart attack. In this regard, Jail Superintendent Sujit Jha said that on Wednesday morning, a complaint of severe chest pain was received in the prisoner Lalan Paswan. After the complaint, he was rushed to Sadar Hospital Aurangabad for treatment. Where he died during treatment. After this the death of the prisoner was informed to the relatives.

He told that Rajendra Paswan, one of the accused in the murder case, has been in jail since the incident. While three other accused, including Lalan Paswan, were lodged in jail after the court broke the bond after being convicted in the case. On the fifth day of his jail term and just eight days before the sentencing, Lalan complained of severe chest pain this morning. After the complaint, he was admitted to the hospital for treatment, where he died during treatment.

The relatives of the deceased have accused the jail administration of negligence. Family members say that before being imprisoned in the jail, he did not have any kind of disease. How did he get a bart attack as soon as he suddenly came to jail. At the same time, the relatives said that we did not get information about what was heard at the point of punishment and today suddenly the news of his death is received. On receiving the information, the relatives of the deceased reached Sadar Hospital Aurangabad, after which the family members started protesting by blocking the road from Sadar Hospital by keeping the dead body at Ramesh Chowk. They started raising slogans against the administration.

After the death of the prisoner, Additional District and Sessions Judge Pranav Shankar has ordered an inquiry into the matter. He told that a prisoner has died which is a very sad incident. An inquiry has been ordered regarding the real cause of this incident. At present, the relatives of the deceased are still agitating by keeping the dead body at Ramesh Chowk. The police is busy trying to convince the family members but the family is not ready to accept it.
