Daughter drowned in river in front of mother in Nalanda: Body recovered from river after an hour, accident happened during defecation

A teenager who had defecated died on Wednesday due to being washed away in a strong current of water. The case is of Prayagpur Vairoti village under Bihar Sharif block. The deceased is Javo Kumari (10) year old daughter of village resident Lagan Manjhi.

In the context of the incident, the family told that the teenager had gone to touch the water after defecation. Then her foot slipped and she fell into the river, the girl’s mother, who was washing clothes on the bank of the river, by the time she reached there, she got swept away by the strong current of the river and disappeared. The girl’s mother also drowned while trying to find her. Which the villagers saved. After about an hour, the girl’s body was dumped in the river. After this the villagers took out the body from the river.

When the dead bodies are found, there is an uproar in the family. The atmosphere of the village became gloomy due to the cries of the family members. The police, who reached the information of death due to drowning, took possession of the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Deepnagar police station president Sunil Kumar Jaiswal said that after registering a UD case, the police has started taking further action. Under the disaster, the amount of compensation will be made available to the victim’s family.
