Regarding the first phase of municipal elections to be held in Darbhanga on December 18, District Election Officer cum District Magistrate Rajeev Roshan and Senior Superintendent of Police Avakash Kumar told a joint press conference on Friday that on December 18 from 7 am to 5 pm Polling will be held at 133 polling stations of total 74 wards of Nagar Parishad Benipur, Nagar Panchayat Bahedi, Nagar Panchayat Hayaghat and Nagar Panchayat Kusheshwarsthan East, in which 99 thousand 370 voters will exercise their vote, including five women polling stations, five ideal polling stations. have been created, live webcasting of seven polling stations will be done.
20 EVM clusters have been made
DM Rajeev Roshan said that a total of 52 sector officers have been deputed for peaceful completion of polling. And 20 EVM clusters have been made. 7 Zonal Magistrates, 4 Super Zonal Magistrates have been made. Women personnel have been deployed to identify the veiled voters. A control room has been set up at the district, subdivision and block level for exchange of information. Also, FRS technology has been arranged for voter identification.
13 check posts have been made
Senior Superintendent of Police Avakash Kumar said that flag marches have been conducted in all the constituencies. Thirteen check posts have been set up for peaceful conduct of the elections. Also, security will be provided in three phases. In the first phase, the magistrate will provide security, in the second the zonal and in the third the super zonal officers. Apart from this, we have given a motorcycle party which will be under the head of the police station. We have SDO and SDPO at police station level and district level police reserve so that if any need arises, they will be used.
